BIOGRAPHY

Nuez he was born in San Antonio De Los Baños, Havana, Cuba. Graduate from (Escuela Nacional de Arte) in Cuba (ENA) in 1973 and Licensed in (El Instituto Superior de Arte in Cuba) (ISA) in 1982, Plastic Artist, Art Director, Art Director of Cinema and Television.

He has had a long career as one of the Top Americas Fine Artist and Caricaturist. Also, he is the daily editorial cartoonist for “Vision Iberoamerica”, weekly newspaper publish in Miami, USA.

Raúl De La Nuez works have been exhibited in Art Galleries and Museums around the World.

As an art director and set designer that has participated in innumerable television programs, feature films and soap operas, as well as musical performances and events in Cuba and co-productions with Spain, Venezuela, Italy, Puerto Rico, United States, Brazil, France and Mexico. He is currently the art director of Venevision Production in United States in the last ten years has designed 3 soap operas in Venezuela, 18 in the United States and two in Mexico.

As a painter has participated in more than 50 collective exhibitions in different countries and has made 20 personal exhibitions in Miami, Florida, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba and has received 19 awards for his work as painter, cartoonist and art director in his native country.
